Monica Ann Arrambide, the CEO and Founder of Maven Youth has over 25 years of experience working with queer youth across the US. Maven Youth is a national nonprofit that aims to empower queer youth to become innovators of technology through tech camps, hackathons and tech internships. Monica was presented the 2019 Kapor Social Impact Award for their notable work in diversifying tech by advancing access to the tech sector, challenging or changing inclusion practices, or effectively using tech tools or platforms to close gaps. Monica founded Texas GSA Network in 2007 which served to bridge the school-based LGBT+ inclusion initiative clubs together at a state-wide level by providing training and advocacy development of youth leaders. Monica is passionate about youth engagement in the tech sector and providing opportunities for queer youth to explore careers in tech and build tech tools and video games through a tech advocate lens for social change.
